Stayed in this beautiful old restored hotel in the quaint little town of Carthage and couldn't have been happier! My husband and I had dinner at Ebels Tavern then sat out on the hotel balcony, listened to live music being played at the courthouse while we chatted with the desk clerk who was informative and a lovely person to talk to. Rooms were gorgeous, beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean.
Passing thru the area and found this lovely vintage gem. Service and communication from Michelle was outstanding. Room with queen bed and attached bath is small but CLEAN. Porches on main and 2nd floor are cute and relaxing. Shared and very small fridge accommodations available as well as coffee and microwave in dining space. Great value.
This was such a fun experience! Such a neat and clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Michelle was so accommodating and there if we needed her. The owner was also available all hours if needed.We were just passing through and so glad we ventured a little out of our way to stay in a historic hotel and quaint town.
Stayed one night while passing through the area on a bicycle trip. This is a real gem of a hotel with lots of charm and character. It's an older, historic building, but extremely well maintained and immaculately clean. My room (#4) was a little small, but very comfortable, had a TV, and the shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There's a common area with a fridge, microwave and coffee. The staff was very friendly and seemed to take real pride in the hotel and the rates were very reasonable. Would absolutely stay again if I were in the area.
This hotel was very clean and reasonably priced. We had been traveling Tennessee and came on google and decided to go for it! Very neat small hotel. Was impressed with Michelle at front desk. However not so impressed with the separate restaurant ( different owners). I think it was called JC’s. Downstairs in hotel. The owner seemed more worried we had to go thru the kitchen to get to basement for our safety in recent tornado warning! Michelle took the necessary action and led us to safety!! The only reason I rated a 4 was restaurant! If based on the Walton only would be a 5! Besides 2.25 for a large coffee is ridiculously high!
We had a wonderful experience. The owner and management were awesome and pleasant to work with. The room was very nice. While the room had that antique/vintage feel, the bathroom was modern and up to date.we had a great time visiting the shops and restaurants around town square. We will definitely visit again.
What a fabulous stay! Perfect accommodations, spacious suite, extra warm water and big showers! The staff was willing to meet every need and made me feel right at home! What a treat! I will definitely return to the quaint Main Street shops, delicious cafe and comfy room!
Wonderful hotel. Very clean rooms and I am very picky about cleanliness. Michelle at the front desk was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The doors are very heavy and blocks the noise. The price was fantastic. It's been wonderful experience. Thank you so much for making this ice storm feel like a mini vacation.
